Before I begin

I’ve read somewhere that it only takes 21 days to start a habit. 21 days from today I’ll be leaving for the US to take a trip of a lifetime. Well maybe there is a bit of exaggeration but hey, not all Filipina women can say that they’ve been there. (I have a very unique circumstance and maybe it may be up for later discussion) I’ll be attending a conference with the top scientists of my field and will be gallivanting Washington DC with my brother whom I’ll be meeting for the first time and New York  with my lovely friends from school that I have come to love.

So for the next 21 days I will begin learning: DISCIPLINE. I am telling you now, that is one hard thing to do. I will not promise to do everything, because at some point I know I am going to fail, but instead I will say that I will do my best to attain my goals.

Before I begin writing down the things I should remember to do, I will write them on scratch paper, because I have this superstition that if I write them on good notebooks I will fail.

I will need all the help and encouragement that I can get. I have already enlisted the help of my good friend Eliza to keep tab of my diet. Because I eat a lat of junk. So let me know how you want to chip in, but a kind word of encouragement would really help 😀

So I start by posting my progress everyday and I will be as transparent as I can.

Tomorrows goals:

Run for 30 minutes
Attend Yoga class or Pole
Eat healthy foods
Finish my smear slides
Measure my coccoliths
Summarize chapter 1 and 2 of my geomorphology book
Pick a place for my Geomorphology homework
Lose 1 lbs in 3 days.
Post my long overdue April photos!
Arrange a meeting with my advisor
Follow up on the business

Not that much things to do right? 😀
